For those who are feeling sorry for yourselves

I found this incredibly thought provoking image
It's about the Wall St crisis and that we are all somehow connected to it
Cause we are under a certain regime, living the life we are in
Isn't just cause of our decisions alone that led us to where we are today.
But a lot of it is to do with how a government controls the country
And what they intend to do about the crisis that we face in our every day lives and how much of it we take for granted so for those who are feeling sappy and sorry for yourselves.
This is a wake up call.

Here's that reply to this image from one of the protesters which I support her view to the max

This is so incredibly ignorant.

  1. The fact that you make over minimum wage, or that there is a minimum wage at all, is because unions work against the corporations that simply work for greed. Just like those unions, this 99% protest is about realizing that corporations are completely allowed to treat people like shit all in the name of profit. If you don’t find a problem with that, I don’t know what kind of person you are.
  2. It’s great that you were able to choose your own school for your own reasons. However, someone’s financial situation shouldn’t determine where they spend their years in college. What if someone’s area of study isn’t offered at a moderately-priced school? And why the hell should it cost so much money to go to school anyway? These are the questions we need to start asking.
  3. While you were saving up for school at age 17, who was taking care of other expenses? How is someone supposed to save up for school while paying for their own food, transportation, cellphone (almost necessary for some work situations), medical expenses, and rent? You come from a privileged life if you think that every person is able to earn enough money to save at age 17.
  4. So glad you could get scholarships. Most scholarships do go to white people like you and I, so lucky us. But not everybody does get those, and many can be lost very easily. I know that I never would’ve been able to get the grades I got in high school (and am now getting in college) if I didn’t have the support system that I had. Had I not had a home, a reliable family, and parents that make sure I have every possible resource I could ever need, I would not have been able to get those scholarships. Like I said, lucky us.
  5. Having a credit card, new car, iPad, or smart phone does not mean that a person is making bad decisions with their money. Maybe they HAVE to pay rent so they’ll have a residency as many jobs require, so they got a credit card. Maybe someone decided to help them out by giving them/loaning them that car. Maybe that iPad was given to them, maybe it’s something that belongs to a company that they work for, maybe it was a better option for them instead of buying a more expensive laptop for schoolwork, etc. Maybe that smart phone is what they actually do their work on, and (again) maybe it was given to them. The point is, you have no idea what is going on in a person’s life, and their belongings still don’t give you much insight.
  6. Bad decisions aren’t the only thing that gets a person in debt. Medical emergencies, loss of housing, loss of transportation, family emergencies, and going to school all can create debt, and often do. Do those sound like bad decisions to you?
  7. Congratulations. I’m so happy that you have a job from which you earn enough money for your needs. The sad thing is that not everyone does. Once you realize that you have privileges that others don’t, maybe you’ll stop pretending that you did all the work.
  8. Sorry, sweetie, but you are part of the 99%. If you’d ever like to join us, the ones that are fighting for you, we’ll welcome you. Until then, fuck your privilege-denying opinion.

Some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple.” -Barry Switzer

Not all of us are fortunate to have a roof over our heads or loving and supportive family or a job that pays or even enough money to pay off bills and debts. And for those who do, you better count your fucking blessings and stop complaining you don't have enough cause you do.

There is always someone out there who's having a hell of a worse day then you

Little things in life

This month has been extremely gloomy
You know that everyday that thousands of lives are lost
People die everyday
But you never really understand the extent of the situation
We always take shit for granted
Everyday we wake up we perform our daily routine thinking that nothing is going to go wrong
What if it does?
What if one day your loved ones passed away
And you never get to see them smile again
In reality pain and suffering is always present alongside with happiness and joy
Should try to appreciate the little things in life
Have you told your parents you love them?
Have you made your friends smile?
Have you done that special thing that makes you happy like an idiot?
I love this quote from Ugly Betty :
"I've had to say good-bye more times than I may have like, but everyone can say that. And no matter how many times we have to do it, even if it's for the greater good, it still stings. And although we will never forget what we've given up, we owe it to ourselves to move forward. What we can't do is live our lives in fear of the next good-bye because chances are they are not going to stop. The trick is to recognize that good-byes can be a good thing, because there's a chance to start again."
You only have one life so live it.
