My Existence

I ought to explain my lack of presence within this past year. As all of you may know, I'm a young adult learning the ways of my career path and paving the way to my future. In many ways I'm still a child, because nobody has thought me what being an adult meant. I am still learning and growing. It hasn't been easy. And a lot of things has happened in just a short year. The purpose of this blog was really to capture my defining moments in life and share it with you, but I have been far too busy with work and no time for rest that I completely neglected this. I neglected a lot of things. For my wonderful friends who is out there, thanks for being so awesome.

For those of you who read my blog and don't really know me, welcome.

Biggest update would be that Matt is currently working in the same company as I am and it's great.

Another update is I'm still at my current job being an interior designer and it has taught me so much in 1 year and more. It teaches me that time management is really important but I have yet to succeed in that compartment. Realistically I only have 24 hours a day. I always think I can get so many things done in a day but I end up not fulfilling them half of what I set myself to do. Like I said I'm still taking baby steps in this big industrial world I have to deal with out there. Not only tm but how to treat yourself. This trait is very tough to be in, and there are a lot of times that it becomes demoralizing, but at the end of the day. I'm still new at this and still have a lot to learn so making those mistakes are ok because that's where you grow from.

Fairy God Mother of Interior Designing

You guys must be wondering what I've been up to lately, cause I haven't really updated much about what's been going on really. Basically I'm back at work and my job is to make people's dream home a reality. And it's been incredibly time consuming. But now it's been slowing down a bit so I could accommodate writing a short piece of entry.

Even though they're 4 different type of tiles all in different shapes, sizes and orientation, they really complement each other along with the terracotta tiles pulling everything together.
I'm currently an Interior Design Consultant, just a junior designer since I've just started playing around with materials. And compiling my lovely collection of interior inspirations I would like to share them with you.

A touch of Victorian and vertical stripes in a rustic blue hue sets a cozy and luxe ambience. The vertical stripes gives the illusion that the ceiling height is lengthen.
White seems to be a major palette in interiors when you're dealing with limited space. It also provides the easy consistency but be warned maintenance wise it's a bitch.
Geometric Skylight Canopy I like.
Another DIY project I implore you to try. It's simple, minimal and beautiful.
Whoever said polka dotted walls were tacky clearly doesn't know jack shit. Keep everything else to a minimum though. You don't wanna end up looking like a mess. Remember less is more.
I love letting natural light in, these frames act as a frame on a beautiful scenery.

KushinBo

GUH SNOW CRAB IS THE SHIT
Right I don't remember when I went to Kushin Bo buffet which means it's been far too long. But my love for Japanese food never cease.
Tempura and soft shell crab. Best buffet ever.

Guess whooo

Sakae. Enough said.

ChinaTown 2012

I'll be honest, as a Singaporean I've never really properly set foot in Chinatown and glance around. This post has been due for ages now since February I know. Chinese New Year was approaching and Matthew wanted to see what it was like down in Singapore's little China Town before he went back. He had to go back on the first day of Chinese New Year. Yea sucked for all of us but at least we had a little taste of it before we retired home
I love the shophouses because they are such a huge part of Singapore's development in architecture and cultural wise. It's good to see that they kinda retained the facades of these whole row of shophouses.
Truth be told I was rather reluctant to go because I hate crowds and I thought that these streets of chinatown would actually be filled with tourists and everyone else squeezing their way through the pavements. But it wasn't at all and we bought a lot of goodies to bring back to England to my in- laws.
Somehow the overwhelming colour of red didn't immediately annoy me. Red or hues of red is now one of my staples in my wardrobe. Just because it's awesome.
Chinatown kinda brings me back to my long abandoned Chinese heritage. What Chinese heritage right?
This was the second time I've been to Chinatown. In my entire life I've only stepped into this overtly Chinese district twice.
Gorgeous place, I wish I could be arsed and have the time to explore the uncharted parts of Singapore.
