Nailsworth. The Wool Industry.

Nailsworth is the neighboring town to where I was living which was Stroud. And it's a very beautiful secluded understated little town filled with lovely Cotswold stone cottages and little forests and great scenery. And not to forget the vital watermills that played a significant role in the past for Nailsworth.

After a tremendously long hike which seemed to take forever, all 4 of us settled down at Tubbies to grab lunch and I guess I did overestimate myself. This is an absolutely delish carbonara, in fact the best carbonara I've had. Shame I couldn't finish it and their garlic bread was awesome!

Cows, you must be wondering why I took a photo of cows in the field. I just thought to capture the experience that I never got in Singapore. You weren't allowed close to cows unless you were milking them. Or allowed anywhere near wild life of anything else for fear they'll try and kill you. From such a close proximity are you able to marvel and appreciate these magnificent beast. My head runs wild wondering how cows work. Probably how mothers work when they're lactating.

I remembered what H said about camwhoring in Britains Iconic red telephone booth and so I did.I couldn't exactly get a few hundred shots of me doing something stupid for fear of making a fool out of myself in front of Aunt Kay and Uncle Chris. And many opportunity just slipped past me cause I prefer holding hands with the love of my life and enjoying my surroundings. He'd just chide me to hurry up and I don't like taking photos under pressure.

Local candy store, Matt was appalled that I never get to experience the thrill of being in a candy store with that sweet sick smell of caramel, chocolate and gummy candies. You name it they got it all. And you never get neighborhood candy stores like this in Singapore. All we got is a shop that sells candy alone like catered for commercialism in a mall. Unfortunately I outgrew my candy fetish. Don't get me wrong I love being in the candy store. It was just filled with candy and the ambiance in it was like you've been placed in Willy Wonka's Candy Land. But knowing that having too much of a 'good' thing is terrible for you.

Here is one of the watermill that once flourished Nailsworth. And now cause of the advancement of technology, there is no use for it. There used to be a lot of active watermills in the past which was the main source of Nailsworth revenue. The wool industry.

Beautiful little private institute that's so secluded we didn't know this existed. They let the students take care of the institute by planting flowers, breeding and feeding fished. They also learn to create ceramic art.

Gorgeous lake that is used to cultivate fishes and promote it's Eco-system.

And all these flora and fauna was done by the students there, amazing touch to it I think personalizing your garden.

All the bright colors

This chair was made wholly by carving out from a log. Yes, look at how much work and effort that was put into the details. This artist must have been amazing person.

Matt took a lot of shots of me without me knowing so I'll just post it up for your own amusement. Enjoy!
